Let my paint a mental picture: If I'm out and about on a hot day after about 6 hours you could fry an egg on my face. Well, maybe I'm exagerating, but I do have very oily skin and quite a couple of pimples and black heads (sexy, I know).
Combination to oily skin foundations that say "matte for up to 12hs" last matte around 2 on my face, so when a friend of mine said that she had a great mask for oily skin that helped her, I thought that it was another one to fall short on my oiliness. But it wasn't, this mask is not only magical but super cheap. Well, it's probably not magical, but I am in love with it. Here's what you'll need:
- Rice flour
yep, that's it! mix the rice flour with the water until you have a creamy texture (not to watery) and use it to exfoliate your skin (previously washed) and then clean and dry your skin and apply the same mixture as a mask and leave it for around 10 minutres or until the mask dries.
You can add a egg white or even a little bit of green tea in the mix if you'd like, but just the flour and water work wonders on me. I don't know if it's the flour itself, or just exfoliating regularly, but my skin does feel better after using it.
The first time I used it, I was having quite a big break out on the left side of my face, which had been coming and going for around a month, but the mask really brought it down to a minimum, and now I even feel like it's going away for good.I wont go as far as to say I have porcelain of post-photoshop skin, but it is looking up. I'm trying to be a good girl and pampering my skin a bit more, using a facial soap and toner everyday and even moisturizing before bed (review to come) and this mask is the cherry on top.
I do feel my skin is a lot better after using this masks two or three times a week the last two weeks, so I hope it works for you too!
